philosophical about Euro ride and electronics

Hello. I would like to ask a quirky question for all you drivers of Euro style cars. From my experience, and postings on these boards, European upmarket cars (think the 9-5) are more "tight" than Japanese competitors, that they often provide more road feel which certain drivers like. What I am wondering, though, is the impact of that tightness on reliability, particularly as it pertains to electronics. I drove an Avalon over a set of railroad tracks by my office and barely felt them. I drove a 9-5 over the same tracks and could hear and feel every nook and cranny. Extrapolate that over 100,000 miles and could it be that the electronic issues that historically plagued many high-end Euro cars came from too much vibration, which came from their tight style? Could that extra vibration be affecting "fit and finish" of interior components as well? In other words, if my behind could feel those railroads tracks, what kind of beating is a direct ignition cassette taking? Thanks for your input.
