The 'tightness' and road feel you reference is most likely a result of the use of different / superior (read: more expensive) steel alloys and design geometry in the upscale Euro makes.
As for fatigue life on the electronics due to that stiffness and what translates to your butt, I suspect it's all in the noise (no pun intended). I think the greatest impact of fatigue life on vehicle components, in North America at least, is the abysmal quality of our road surfaces. The pot-hole infested, frost-heaved, rain-damaged stuff we drive on in the US would never be permitted in Germany, for example. We cheap screw our roads and we pay for it through it via auto repair.
