The circuit distance is twice what you calculated as a circuit is by definition a loop. I measure current with a clamp-on ammeter not with the sticker.
Calculations according to:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/voltagedropcalc.html
14 awg, 50 feet, 15 amps will see a voltage drop of 4.6 volts or 3.8 percent. If you care, 3% is the NEC allowed voltage drop.
If your motor startup were momentarily 30 amps, the voltage drop would be 9.1 volts!
My calcs:
A steady draw of 13 amps (like I described as for something other than a compressor) would use $90/month at 0.08/kwh (our power is almost twice as expensive).
3.8% of that is $41/year for you or about $70/year for me. The price difference at home depot for 12-2 versus 14-2 wiring is $6.65 for a one-time expense. The electrical outlet might be an extra $0.50-1 as well.
A steady draw would be for something like common lighting, circulating fans, aerator pumps, computer loads, etc...
