Well our time came around. we had just stopped for a red light when a suv decided it would be a hoot to drive into our rear. Do not know exactly the impact speed but the rear is completely caved in, the trunk bent and jammed about six inches inwards, the rear quarter panels crumpled and pushed to the wheel wells. Both of us suffered no injuries, the car worked flawlessly i even felt the headrest move forward. the impact moved the car about 8-10 feet but interestingly there was no skid marks from the offending pathfinder!
I will post pictures when i figure out how too.
So the question for everybody is an insurance one, the lizard people have given us a list of their body shops and i was wondering if anyone here has had good (or bad) work done for them in the New York queens area?
Thank you all for any advice forthcoming.
P.S. we drove away! no bad handling, a broken exhaust but amazingly all the rear lights still worked! Love that car.
Jonathan.
