Sorry to hear about your ailments. Happy to hear you have taken stock and have a plan for some enjoyment.

I assume you want to have some driving fun with whatever you select. For sheer driving excitement my choice would be a Lotus Elise SC 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with go cart handling for a list price of $47,000. This assumes that you have a Lotus dealer in your state and that you can fit in a small car. I am not a Corvette fan but they have made huge improvements in the handling, power and reliability. Perhaps another option.

If your are looking to Porsche then the Panamera is a four seater with outrageous performance.

Let us know what you decide and keep us posted on where you have gone with it. Cross country trips are fun.


Whatever you decide be sure to get some professional driving lessons in your new car at a track with a good road course. If you push hard enough you'll get scared so that you'll have nothing else on your mind.
