bathroom reno- uneven floor Posted by pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pete) on Tue, 12 Oct 2010 06:17:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm doing a bathroom reno .. 3 pc.
Did all the plumbing, etc and now ready to lay the floor. I did a dry-run by laying the 3/4 " plywood and put the stringers on the wall studs for the tub, making sure they are level. That's when I noticed that the floor isn't level. 3/4" off from the front right corner of the tub, to the rear left. And when I check the floor for level from the back of the tub to the door (about 10 feet), it's lower by the door entrance by about 1". Can I use motar to put on a skim coat to level it out? Will the mortar crack? It will mean "stepping up" an inch to get in the bathroom from the landing. Not sure what to do. Anyone have any words of wisdom?
Thanks!
