You make some valid points, but most of them are well known and not part of a conspiracy to mislead the public. In regards to charging the car while at work, I would not expect to do that and I doubt many other people would. How many people are commuting a hundred miles to work? Not many. For the same reason, not many people are going to need to re-charge at some kind of station either. More than 99% of the charging will occur at home. Most of the electricity is currently produced with coal, but at least there is the potential to generate it other ways. Electric have the benefit of higher efficiency than gasoline, even if you're using coal to produce it, when you factor in the energy used in refining the gas, storage and transport. I wouldn't buy the Volt, but I'd be interested in a better product.
