I bought my 2-stroke single stage Toro S2000 in 1988. Last year I spent $100 on new paddles, scraper, and drive belt. That's the only maintenance it needed since new. Loud but works on any snow up to a foot deep. It gets used pretty much weekly.

I asked whether the shop would be interested on a tradein against a new Ariens 24" 2-stage ($1050). Guy offered me $250 for the Toro sight unseen. It still looks new so I'm sure it would have been worth more if he saw it.
