I'm quite happy with my Droid2, having had it for nearly a year. It's much faster than the iPhone available at the time when I got it 10 months ago. I'm not at all being close-minded about iPhone; I may get one the next time one of my two phones is up for replacement, depending on which model delivers the goods. The PC vs. Mac analogy is apt to a certain degree. The iPhone/Mac owners tend to be more "fanatical" where as the Droid/PC users tend to be more hard-nosed tight-wads (yours truly included). OTOH, the price differential between the two phones is not nearly as drastic as the Mac premium commanded over PC. I picked Droid2 last August for two reasons:
1. Droid2 was much faster than the iPhone available at the time
2. the iPhone available at the time had problem working with some of the more advanced WIFI security schemes.
Neither factors may be valid today.
3. I prefer physical keyboard over touch screen keyboard. Not just to tactile feedback but also being able to see more while typing.
