On Monday I recieved an e-mail from the SAAB Sales Manager at my local Chevy-Caddy-SAAB store alerting me to a special Grand Opening celebration associated with their new showrooms and the re-birth of SAAB. At least that is what the header of the e-mail said. The body was comnpletely blank. No dates, no times, no information at all - just a blank white field of computer screen where the message was to have been included.
Yesterday I received a letter form this same person announcing a new SAAB DNA incentive program "Saab DNA" which would provide an additional $500 of savings to loyal SAAB customers. The letter stated the discount certificate was enclosed with the letter. My envelope contained only the letter.
I sent an e-mail to the named individual last night alerting them they had screwed up twice in less than a week's time with their marketing methods. I also asked if the DNA campaign meant "Did Not Arrive"?
This morning, while driving to work, I heard a radio advertisement from this same Dealership announcing a $1000 sales incentive on new SAABs! So did the Dealership make a third critical mistake? Or are current SAAB owners receiving a diminished benefit?
Arrgh!!
