since I took a ferry to Bremmerhaven, Germany from England to pick up a fully loaded, tricked out Plymouth Sundance! :P ha ha
And speaking of GM these guys were a major contributor to the position that Saab is currently in. There was hope then and now with the much maligned Chinese attempting to resurrect the Saab brand in a market that can actually support it; the attitude is quite quick to judge. Some of this is American conditioning of ones perception of the Chinese and the other is a lack of understanding of world business and most of the negative comments stem from a marriage of both.
The American consumer/market did not sustain Saab by purchasing its vehicles. The American automakers invested IMO not for the future of the Saab brand but for access to proprietary and technologically advantageous
engineering to further their own brand. Who was a primary target market for our american auto execs)? Hint: Three syllables " CHA - I - NAH "
So relax. Buy Saab if it's the best car for you. I heard this somewhere- "Saab: It's not for everyone; nor should it be."
