1. Like many of you I have followed the news items regarding the Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co and Chinese car distributor Pangda to take an ownership interest in SAAB.
The news media has been very silent on the issue of control....are these two Chinese entities buying voting or non-voting stock? Until we know the answer to this question perhaps we should temper our reaction.
2. As one of the conditions imposed by GM, SAAB does not have the flexibility to manufacture SAAB's where ever it wants....so, the notion of 9-5's manufactured in China appears to be ill informed.
