though I agree with some that the BMW badge is sometimes associated with some negative connotations... it's hard to deny the quality of the brand's reputation.
It's interesting because they have shed the larger wagon (5 series) and really can not do a good looking hatchback (X6? 1 series? Compact? GT?)... as far as sedans go, everything else is compared to BMW... Saabs aren't meant to be sedans (and I can say that because I own 3 saab sedans, only really due to circumstance)... in a way, a modern/throwback "c900" hatch/vert and a family oriented 9000/9-5 sized wagon(/bighatch) would fit very well in the BMW portfolio.
