Officer says a police report in NY can be made for 10 days. I have the witnesses name, number, and place of employment. I also had a person in the car with me.
The officer mentioned how he got T-boned when someone ran a stop sign and was found 20% at fault. He also said it was at least the third incident in that lot on this day.
What does stationary mean? Not moving? In park? Off?
It's kind of messed up that we pay for insurance and then have to consider whether we should use what we paid for because they can get us on the back end. Even if it's a grand or so, they've got years of premiums and no claims.
The trickier question is when does it pay to fix versus take the money to fix. This car isn't getting younger and damage can occur at any time.
One should have to have one's hearing and ability to turn around in a driver's seat checked to be on the road.
