I live in Canada + rust proofing is pretty essential up here imho. I use RustCheck... My indy uses Krown.... others might also be good. Both he + I have daily driver c900s with minimal rust. The best seems to be a thin creeping spray inside all the body cavities (so it can't rust from inside out). A thicker undercoating spray on the bottom of the car is not a bad idea, though our 1993 has only had the thin stuff + is doing fine. All of these sprays I'm referring to are oil based + a little messy, but it's worth it to keep the car on the road longer imho. There can be other complications depending where you go - some drill a few holes (and cover them with rubber plugs) to get spray in all the cavities. Some rubber parts might expand a little - I've only had an issue with the side turn signal light gaskets + those are dirt cheap anyway (and at any junkyard)...
I believe RustCheck + Krown are available in the US, but there may not be installers there? Might be able to get it done with a quick trip over the border to Canada... only takes an hour to spray.
I have no affiliation with any of these companies...
good luck!
James...
