I installed the springs, new center bearing, new bearing end plates, new cables and new rollers. The new springs balanced the door at 7.5 turns, right on the money. Only shortage was the need for longer bolts at the center bearing support to accommodate two spring end cones.
The new cables are stainless steel, 1/8", rather thicker than the originals.
Only assistance needed was placing the 19 foot spring rod up and into one bearing end plate.
I order the custom wound springs Monday afternoon they arrived Friday Morning.
The old bearings were rather rough. The old rollers were a bit wobbly, but decent and with a high ball bearing count, USA made. All rollers are off-shore and many are made to be low cost. You can get good units and the cost for the best is still minimal.
The nylon HD rollers make the door very quite. I have a DC drive unit with battery backup.
