Gun safes are among the easiest to obtain, and can be very rugged. They tend to be large and heavy, but nobody's walking away with it under their arm...
However, most are NOT fireproof, but you could place one of those fireproof boxes in one.
Regarding fires, be aware of the boxes and what you are putting in them. A box rated to keep papers from burning may not protect computer discs, thumb drives, etc, any of which can be rendered unusable at much lower temperatures than paper burns at. Boxes rated for computer media are available, so if that's what you need to keep safe, look for them.
