get the battery in there, I put the bolt in as straight as I could and just went for it. It's slightly on an angle, really not much. I suppose next time I take it out I may have some problems.
So you're saying I could potentially fix the current thread?
Ideally I'd like to use the same bolt. If I go one size up, I can't do that anymore, can I? Also, how is is that the set has the exact same female thread for that particular bolt thread pattern? There's just so many different kinds....
is helicoil just an easier solution?
Anyhow, I probably won't have to worry about this for a few more years but I know I will. It's not "critical" but it is still important for it to hold down the battery well.
