Since Continental is my favorite I try to steer people toward them as much as possible when they ask.
But some feel they don't get as many miles out them as they expect because they compare dollar to how many miles they should last. The more money, the longer they should last, right?
So if you buy a rock hard cheap Chinese tire that last forever and you are never in a crisis situation where you needed those extra 10-20 feet stopping power or turning sharply you might feel that those tires are the best since sliced bread.
Also a Continental Contisportcontact wears faster than a Contiprocontact.
And in some of the popular sizes you can get a UTQG rating spanning between 400 and 600 of the seemingly same Contiprocontact tire which certainly changes the miles you get out of them but might also increase the road noise when the number gets higher so then you might get complaints of noisy tires instead even though they get more miles out of them.
The Conti I put on my wifes 07 9-3 is heading toward more than 40K miles out of them and I can't complain about that for a high quality tire.
