The IAC valve that I recently had to replace in my 9000, which is a specialized type of motor (not *that* specialized, they make them by the thousands) cost $250.00 from the cheapest supplier I could find. I bet on AeroEd's motorcycle, the same function is performed by a setscrew that costs about a dollar! Oh and it may have a spring on it, that's another 50 cents. ;^)
Okay that's a little bit apples and oranges, but you're going to have a hard time convincing me that the total cost of a power window is anywhere near the same as a crank! Just off the top of my head I'd estimate in quantities of 10,000 $2.50 each for a crank, vs. $10.00 for the motor, $1.00 for the switch, $2.50 for the wire/insulation/grommets/clips etc., $1.00 for the fuse and its accommodation in the fusebox, and probably $2.50 in extra labor to install it all.
