Except for Japanese who don't offer turbo-4, they have their own problems namely quality issues and recalls of late, all makes offer turbo torque we've known to love.
Probabky sums up Saab the best:
http://m.motortrend.com/wot/remembering-saab-highlights-from-motor-trends-saab-reviews-and-road-tests-149339.html
I had a pair of 9-5 Aeros and thought they were the best thing on the road. I had one tune to Nordic lll and stayed with an BMW M5 from 100-130 mph. You could not buy a sedan for $40,000 and do that back in 2000. It was a real performer for the price and loved passing 4wd trucks in the snow.
I took one on the track for the day and was pleased to hang with corvettes, but had to rotate the tires at lunch and evetually throw them out at the end of the track day as they were about to show cords.
I let them go back on lease and went AMG, a few sports cars, and found the price was right for a 12 year old car to run 600 miles a week mostly in the winter. I've purchased five 9-5's to date and do enjoy what the cars does for my use. But eventually we'll hve to move onto something else and Buick offers and ideal replacement as some of you have purchased more than one. But on the other hand some will want or need something different like Stephen G, owning more Saabs than most of us, bought a hybrid.
I don't think anyone is for a subpar, as it was summed up back then, OG 9-5 today either. But if you are still in the market for near-luxury that doesn't scream expensive German, souless and now lacluster Japanese, or over chromed Cadillac ATS, the Buick driving experience is evolution of the OG9-5 for half the MSRP of a OG9-5 Aero on the used market is the 2013 Verano Turbo.
