New "small overlap" crash test Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 10:58:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Reports are out today about many new cars doing poorly in the new "small overlap" crash test, and as a result, CR pulling its recommendation for several popular models, like the Toyota Camry.
From a description of the test, it sounds like Saabs would do well in this new test due to the extra reinforced A-pillar that protects against roof deformation on a roll-over. Likely another reason I will eventually replace my 13-year old Saab with a newer used Saab.
