I have a smooth finished concrete garage floor. I was getting onto the ramps to change the oil. It is a bit tricky driving up ramps. Too little gas and the vehicle will not climb the ramp and the torque converter slips. If you have a manual tranny, you are on the gas and slipping the clutch. Then when you hit the level part of the ramp you need to be off the gas so you don't overshoot the ramp. So I found that I was taking a few runs at the ramps to get on the top safely. One time I did not make it and was still on the slope and one of the ramps shot out from under the tire and crashed into the end of the garage. I can't remember if it was one or both. It was many years ago. I may have been working the p-brake and that could allow the front wheels to rotate freely as a ramp was spit out. - So I will never use steel ramps on a smooth concrete floor again.
