I answered truthfully about the money but thinking about it I think its also about inspiration, encouragement and gumption.

Poorness and desperation are also involved. An example; I could find no one do to do my subframe bushings for for less than $700. Dealer quoted $2000 open-ended (meaning it could go up and up as they got into it). One place that works on Saabs would not even attempt it. For $60 and info from Saabnet I fixed just the rear bushings and the car is still with us.
