From some of the replies here I'm surprised to hear no one keeps their off season tires in their living room.

I stack some, have others stored standing up, all based on space available. It all works.

There is no need to baby tires. They are meant to be exposed to frigid and broiling temps, wet and dry. Amazingly, the wheels are, too.
