I bought home an Austin 850 shell on a child's wagon at 15, picked up an 850 ice racer with a busted oil pump at sixteen which I re-built as a 998 Cooper.

My first Saab was a 1989 900T: four doors, Embassy Blue, blue velour interior, auto, as conservative as all get out but nonetheless totally rock and roll!

Thanks for reminding me!
