Being called a "poor-man's BMW" that 510 made me lust after the real thing. My next car was a '74 tii which fun too. But that one rusted away just as fast as the 510.

Those were really fun cars, and I enjoyed keeping them running. What I didn't enjoy (hated really) was trying to fix the rust. Towards the end the drivers footwell rusted out & I used fiberglass in there. Didn't paint it, so you could sorta see down through it to the road!
