Congratulations Scott!
I have gone through countless Saabs over the years.
My favorite story is from my 1999 9-3 convertible. I was driving down the NJ Garden State Parkway with about 70 miles to my destination. I lost my clutch and didn’t want to pull over for a variety of reasons - primarily not wanting to have my Saab towed off the Parkway by their tow company and then needing to get a second tow to a mechanic.
I called family to figure out which exit would be best to be closest to a dealer or an Indy. I stayed in 3rd for about 30 miles. Finally got to an exit close to a dealer. The car stalled out at bottom of exit ramp. A nice cop pulled up behind me and pushed the car off the exit ramp so I wouldn’t need to call the Parkway for a tow. Got the clutch fixed and was back on my way till the next breakdown.
Best,
Sam
