I've imported a car from the US before. It's a several week long process, when you account for the out of country inspection, out of province inspection, safety inspection, arranging transport, waiting for vehicle to arrive (that alone took a week). It also took many hours of leg work on my part just to move things along at all. This is not something I'm willing to go through at this juncture, all to buy a car sight unseen and potentially have it fail one of the inspections and cost me several thousand dollars. Maybe for a weekend car, not for a daily driver that I need today. It's not even clear whether importing a Saab is even possible anymore, since one of the requirements is obtaining a recall clearance letter from the vehicle manufacturer.
