Ordered brake pads 2 months from Rockauto, they shipped wrong pn, denied return as must be within 30 days. As it was clearly their mistake I threatened legal action, they relented and "granted a one time exception" with store credit issued, I had to pay return shipping ($7.00) .
So I ship back, get issued credit , go to order correct pn in order to use credit and be done with Rockauto, then I get a message that they cannot ship to my location owing to sales tax issues. I again complain and they send me this "In response to the Supreme Court decision (South Dakota v. Wayfair), Colorado now requires online retailers, like RockAuto, to collect sales tax on orders shipped to that state. Your state forbids us to ship orders to some cities (but not all) because we do not have enough accountants to comply with their complicated tax rules."
So I finally get them to issue a credit to my Visa, I order other stuff online recently and never get the S. Dakota to Wayfair response - anyone else encounter this ?
I'm done with Rockauto anyways - even I could order from them, as IMO they should have not made me pay for return shipping or initially deny my return request as the mistake was 100% on their end.
Should I bother to flame them on review sites ?
