As an owner and devout fancier of the 9K Aero, I have often wondered that if I live long enough...
What could be next for me ??

Aside of the great good fortune of maybe grabbing onto a '98 9K Aero 5sp (unlikely), it has occurred to me via my limited exposures that maybe a Subaru Impreza WRX (maybe with changed seats ?!?) would be able to suffice.

Of course, seeing the 9-2X (Saabaru) gave me serious 2nd thoughts along with all the GM-ized stuff from the post-98 era of things I hesitate to consider as real Saab cars at all.
(No insult intended by the above, but my nick is Vtsnaab for a reason !!)

Of course it is always possible that my current Aero will outlast me in this world, but aside of that notion, what have other folks here been exposed to that is NOT high-end (as in a BMW or Ford/Volvo) & in many ways compares favourably with a '94 - '98 9K Aero ??
