Hopefully your 9k will last a really long time, but imho, probably the closest thing out there would be a 9-5. The issue of course is most of them are old now too and probably mostly as used up, so maybe no longer good advice as a purchase? I have 2 9-5s and 2 c900s and the 9-5 is still a lot of fun and a lot of Saab DNA. It is not like the saabaru or the trollblazer. The 9-5 outperforms the c900 in most respects (winter is the exception), though the c900 is more fun (ie the 9-5 will take a cloverleaf faster, but the c900 feels faster).
I think the advice to find another car to take some load off and preserve the 9k is good advice. In particular to avoid salty winter roads. Our 9-5s are playing that role for the c900.
