Agree! I've bought two used Saabs from Florida, and the undercarriages on both were fine. I generally would look for signs of sun wear in the paint and interior, as a car parked outside in Florida for years will be obvious. But as long as the clear coat is intact, a pro detail can do wonders for a dull finish. Leather and vinyl interiors these days have lots of coatings that are quite hardy (Volvos from the 2000s and 2010s are an exception--their leathers age poorly). Tinted windows helps a lot. Whether from Florida or elsewhere, watch for coastal cars; if not garaged regularly, the salt air can age a car dramatically. Also, and this is sadly true for about any used car purchase, you should look beyond a Carfax etc for physical signs of flood damage.
