I was in the same position as you. I had an '02 9-5 Aero manual and a '95 900 3 door turbo manual. I was taking care of my elderly mom. When she passed, I decided to start taking some road trips. I realized that if I was in some remote area and I had a problem with the 9-5 I'd be screwed, so with heavy heart, I sold it. I found a '07 Volvo S60 (P2) in Idaho with only 31.5k on it. I bought it immediately. Certainly not as exciting to drive as the 9-5, but an excellent choice for a road car and I think it's a great car. I only live a couple of hours from Peter and damn near bought it myself. That car is my number 3 on my list of best Saabs, but I only have 2 parking places and at the end of the day, I just couldn't part with my 900 Turbo. Although I couldn't justify it, I'm still kind of kicking myself! If you can find a good P2 Volvo, I'm sure that you'll be happy with it
