I bought a 2004 NG 9-3 Aero convertible three years ago and it had sn AGM battery installed that was new. I charge it periodically with my automatic charger that has a setting for AGM batteries. In the winter the car is garaged (unheated) and I disconnect the negative cable after parking it. I fully charge the battery before storage. In the spring I just reconnect the battery and the csr starts right up. My experience with AGM batteries has been positive so far. I have five Saabs so the convertible doesn’t get driven every week in the warm months. I charge the batteries on all my cars now and then just to help prolong their life.
