I've noticed that many many sites are being hit with this and approaching it in different ways. Not just forums, but shopping sites even. The cloudfare authorization screens are most visible, but in general, most websites are becoming much harder to access or at least slower.

Whatever you did in this most recent update is brilliant though as the site is remarkably fast now. It may be worth sending a note out to members to let them know the site is as fast as ever again and bring them back into the fold.
