Exactly. This is not a problem that any one of us can solve. However, the value of the web was in the efforts of people (like yourself) who gave their valuable time to post stuff, develop websites, etc. take that away and the web becomes lower quality.

I don't say this (just) out of pessimism. I think that economics will hopefully partially rectify the problem. This AI for laziness is going to bite everyone in the @$$ and we will all hopefully get over it and make better use of the technology. Or not and it will be a late stage capitalism death spiral haha. But I like to think things can evolve in a positive way.

Take wikipedia for example: they are to some extent embracing AI search absorption, but have also been impacted by the scraping bots. I wonder though how much contributors to Wikipedia's pages will continue to do so. Behind every page is a back discussion of humans managing the visible page information. There are some very engaged people there. Will be interesting to see what they do to change with the times.
