I'm interested in this only because I find Saabs to be a conversation point in any car related conversation...mainly because people ask "why a Saab? That's an interesting choice...why not a BMW or Lexus?"
Since uniqueness and character are key for Saabs, I'm interested to see what other "unique" vehicles people have (Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat, Merkur, Peugeot, Sterling, etc.)
My second car is about as obscure (and rare) as you get: A 1989 Peugeot 405 Mi16...
A blast to drive, truly phenomenal front drive handling, great 16V engine, great seats, 33MPG on the highway...weak interior build quality but I'm addressing the rattles one by one (believe me, Saabs are tomblike in comparison), servicing it will be tricky once the local ex-Peugeot dealer stops getting parts.
People ask why...and then I let them drive it...they become hooked immediately.
Cheers,
Paul H.
