I think you were saying that you returned your Saturn to the retailer and I'm sorry you had a vehicle with which you were not pleased. Keep in mind that no other car division would take a car back like that.
I wouldn't put much faith in what one service advisor said to you about Saturn. He is nowhere near the decision-making level of GM and he shouldn't be talking about that kind of thing anyway.
As for resale value, I'm pretty sure Saturns have better resale than the Saab that you have (but then that's not why people buy Saabs). As far as durability goes, there are already plenty of Saturns with 200,000 miles plus out there.
