Hey lowbar,
Remember what I told you about engineers and marketing. In particular,
please remember what I told you about what marketing expects from
engineers. :-)
In a way, Saab recommends Mobil 1 0W-40 more than any other oil because
owner's manual specifies ACEA A3/B3 and 0W-40 meets A3/B3. Saab further
recommends 0W-40 by making it factory fill in all Saabs.
Mobil 1 0W-30 is also recommended since it is standard service oil
for Saab 9-3SS.
If you want Saab Turbo Blend 5W-30 at 5,000 oil change interval, that's
probably fine too.
thanks
Jae
