interval with semi-synthetic. That doesn't feel right to me at all.

I change oil every 5,000 miles with fully synthetic oil, and I KNOW
that no matter how many times I indulge in auto luge the engine is WELL
taken care of! Even then, I check oil level once in a while and maybe
drop in a drop or two of Mobil 1 which I always keep in the trunk.
