It looks like a cool truck (or car?). My wife is really pressing me to go look at one, but I told her that 'one Nissan is enough'. :-) Driving a fleet of Nissan/Infinitis wouldn't look good as a Saab dealer, and aside from that, I'd have to sell my Viggen. We all know that's not going to happen!
In a nutshell, they've got some great sport oriented product. They're making cars that cause guys like me to drool. This is a far cry from what they had 3-4 years ago.
Nissan is the perfect example of what actions that Saab should take in order for a corporate turnaround. 4 years ago they were in a pickle just like us. They were determined to pull themselves out of the rut by taking the road less traveled. After some manufacturing and engineering layoffs, and a some rough months, they started to roll out a fleet of off-the-wall and motorsport driven cars. It worked, they've become a major player in the import market, both low end and high end. I think that we should learn a lesson from Nissan. This is a better picture of a successful corporate turn around than Opel (who is still not out of the woods).
Cheers,
Brian.
