Co-worker's dream car sold Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 6 Feb 2019 16:22:30 In Reply to: Co-worker's dream car, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 1 Oct 2018 08:46:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I talked to my co-worker Ben today for probably the first time in four months, our offices are nearly 2 miles apart. Ben told me he now needs to come up with a different project car.
His 300ZX was delivered to LOJ Conversions as arranged. The owner of LOJ contacted Ben in awe of how clean and rust-free his car was, and curious where the car came form. The car came from Ben's boyhood home area of inland South Carolina as he didn't want a Northern car or Coastal Southern car due to potential rust.
A potential client of LOJ contacted the owner of the company looking for a conversion but didn't have a car to start with. The LOJ owner told the car-less potential client about the rust-free car in his work queue that would be a lower cost conversion due to no body work required, and that he knew the car's owner got a super sweet deal on the car pricewise, so maybe the car's owner would be interested in selling the car before work was done, IF the offer was right.
The potential client contacted Ben and offered him $8K more than Ben's total cost for the car and transportation to LOJ Conversions in New Jersey.
So now Ben needs a new dream project but has $8K more to spend on it!
