I found an electronic module which is easy to install and defeats the Stop-Start via temporarily exploiting one of the feature's built-in safeties at each engine start. I was dismayed that Buick did not include a means to defeat this feature and was about to remove the TourX from list of potential vehicles until I found this $130 module.
