The 9-5 is a great touring car and ours seems to be quite low maintenance, with most of the problems being easily addressed DIY with great advice through saabnet.

It won't get the fuel economy of some of your options, but well maintained, 30mpg highway is easy, and it is so comfortable on the highway - life is effortless in that car! Plus they are cheap used now (even the newest ones).
