the comments on the horrible ride with viggens always crack me up. Especially when you see the number of pickup trucks on the road & every 4x4 or 3/4 ton+ that I have been in rides a LOT worse then my viggen did when it was stock. I do agree that in stock for they are on the firm side however uncomfortable it is not :)
Anyways, I also went through the 9-5 aero (I wanted a wagon) or a viggen purchase dilema & a viggen is in my garage
9-5 is more refined, more room, etc
viggen more fun, less weight, quicker & has handling/chassis issues to fix before they are really worth owning :) The hatch isn't why it doesn't handle as good (I have never driven both at a track to compare the 2) but probably because it's a narrow flexy chassis with a tall chassis thus high c-gravity. Lowering the car helps a LOT!
If you get a viggen the VRK is a must! I would also STRONGLY suggest getting the koni kit (spring shocks $700) which will not only drastically improve handling but make the car ride a LOT better!!
my vote is a viggen for more fun
