I had a viggen convertible and like everyone said these are two different cars, but both are a blast. Yes the vig is slightly quicker but feels a lot quicker because of all the drama. I had to trade it in as the kids came around and now have a 5spd areo wagon. The Aero has an overboost feature that the viggen didn't have and boost goes a bit higher. I was also suprised to find they have different gearing even among the 5spds. the Vig was 91 mph at 3000rpm, the aero is 85 mph at 3000rpm, every gear is a bit shorter in the aero and almost no torque steer. We love our aero wagon, but I can tell you that when my 9K aero goes over 200K I'll be looking for another Viggen-you just can't get them out of your blood, plus the seats are better in the vig up till 02 and later aero's then its a toss up.
