Thanks John, your input is always appreciated. So...I just remove one bolt at a time, in the correct sequence, and torque to the specs. plus 90*? I plan to do the "leak test" with the colored liquid thingie first, but even if I don't get a reaction, I still plan to ck. the head torque. I have the new bolts and vc gasket kit from Europarts, but am not sure of the torque to be used on these bolts. They are the ones on the "right" of Anders picture. (Threads not to the top, but loose washer)
It is possible that I have a problem with my heater core, and that could be where the coolant is going. I have incomplete service records on this car. It has 93,000 but I am the second owner, having purchased it with 87,000 from the 1st. I am just trying to NOT have to do a headgasket now or in the near future if possible.
Thanks,
John
