From your initial post I thought you knew where the coolant leak was coming from, that you can see it at the seam of the head and block. I also assumed the head and gasket were in good shape, and that you recently had head work done and maybe the bolts weren't torqued properly by the tech, or one of the bolts failed somehow. A dying water pump is often the source of coolant leaks. I had to deal with mine 2 months ago, so I know the drill. I assumed everything but the water pump until I crawled under the car to deal with something else and noticed the tell-tale sign of coolant running down the engine below the pump. If the source of your leak is in fact the head gasket, I don't see how re-torqueing with new bolts will help. I've never read about that as a stop-gap measure to delay head gasket work.
