Unfortunately even the best porting job you can do isn't a real noticeable difference in power however a properly done tubular header does make a difference. I'm not saying not to port your head but just making realistic comparisons. Also remember when you say "that the exhaust flows out faster" it's before the turbo therefore not yet being forced anywhere so a good header is the way to go there. Your offset 9000 header idea is something I've always wanted to do on one of my 9000's as straightening out the down-pipe is a real improvement especially if it's divided! My 9000's are early ones with the T3 flanges so I'd like to design a T3 offset 9000 header that would also work in a C-900 to position the turbo where it should have been in the first place and clear the motor mount brace.
